Mark Wonder, artiste reggae né à Kingston, est une véritable merveille jamaïcaine.
Il a été influencé par l’amour de la musique de sa mère et sa collection de disques
qui comprenait des classiques R&B de The Impressions, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, Marvin gaye, Aretha Franklin,
Smokey Robinson, Patti Labelle et Stevie Wonder dont il a adopté le nom « Wonder ».
Il a également été influencé par les fondements de la musique jamaïcaine et des artistes comme Burning Spear, Alton Ellis, Bob Andy,
Ken Boothe, Barrington Levy et plus particulièrement Dennis Brown qui l’a inspiré à devenir chanteur.
Il a commencé à développer sa musique à travers les Sound System. King Jammy a été sa première expérience studio.
